She founded her motoring blog Changing Lanes in 2014 and it’s grown to be a trusted source for car reviews in Ireland. Caroline is also an experienced copywriter for business and author of the children’s book ‘While You Were Sleeping’.

About Caroline

Hi, my name is Caroline Kidd and I’m a motoring journalist and presenter, content creator and author based in Ireland. I’m the founder and editor of Changing Lanes, a leading Irish motoring blog, and a jury member for Irish Car of the Year.

I’m known for my expert car reviews based on over 10 years’ experience following the motor industry, testing new cars weekly on Irish roads, and attending local and international press launches. I also provide car reviews to other media outlets, with millions of views ranked up on YouTube and other platforms. I’m an experienced content creator, with my expertise lying in creative and credible short form video content for clients, and writing SEO-optimised blogs and articles to help clients succeed online.

My background

In 2008, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from University College Dublin. After working for a few years in data management, I went to the then DIT Aungier Street to follow my passion for writing and media, and graduated with a Masters in Journalism. I have since upskilled with a Certificate in Digital Marketing to help me and my clients succeed online.

And I’ve worked a lot, with different people and across different industries, which has helped me get better at what I do. The world has changed since I started my career but so have I. My expertise lie in journalism, the motor industry, content creation, search engine optimisation – and uncompromising attention to detail.

PRESENTING

I began producing and presenting videos for Changing Lanes back in 2014. These days you’ll also find me presenting car reviews for Carzone.ie, Ireland’s trusted motoring marketplace. I’ve also presented videos for Continental Tyres Irish Car of the Year and the Faster Project.
