On 8th August 2025, the North Wexford Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NWSPCA) hosted a special children’s book reading of While You Were Sleeping in Gorey Library.
I was delighted to read my book to the children who came and bring to life the story of the cats and dogs of the NWSPCA!
We were also lucky to be joined by Petra Curtis, who illustrated the book beautifully and brought the characters to life so brilliantly.
A special thanks to the staff of Gorey Library and the NWSPCA’s fundraising team for organising this event.
This year While You Were Sleeping turns five and has raised thousands of Euros for the NWSPCA since it first went on sale in October 2020.
